Personalised Settings
On this page you can customise several aspects of the site, like default search settings and site colours. After you have customised everything you are interested in, you can save your settings by scrolling all the way down and hitting the "save my settings" button.
Default Search Settings
Above, you can see the navbar for the japanese/english search engine, which you can customise to your particular liking. Simply set up the navbar like you would for a normal search, and after saving your settings whenever you do a search you won't have to touch any of the settings to get the desired kind of search (unless you want to very specifically search in some other non-default way of course).
Site Colours
Below, on the left, you can modify the colours that the site uses for several of its components. On the right there is a mini preview so you can get a rough idea of what the site will look like with your new colours without having to scroll all over the place.
The colours have to be specified as six hexadecimal numbers, two for red, two for green and two for blue, in that order. The colours range from value 00, which means "0", to FF, which means "255" (hex numbers go 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F and then add a factor, so after F you get 10, 11, ..., 19, 1A, ..., 1F, 20, 21, ..., 99, A0, A1, and so forth in that fashion until you reach FF). A standard web colour approach is to use doubled values, like "330066" or "AA7722", but if you feel more adventurous (or you know your way around hex colours) you can try finer nuances.
There are a few default colour schemes you can choose from, but if you made one you are particularly happy with, feel free to write a message in the forum with the colour combinations you used and your scheme might even make it onto the site as a default scheme ^_^
